Advice please??!?

ok so.. i have a little pony (had her since she was born shes just gone 8 now..). 3 years ago she was broken and because she is so small (just under 12hh) there was no one really to ride her only my little brother but he never had much intereest and soon out grew her.. anyway now my cousin is interested in ponys and there perfect team! but i hate to part with her and because she looks absolutly fab we were thinking of putting her in foal to a 12.2 welsh.. now she loves attention and is just a complete dote perfect for my cousin and completley bombproof,,, i was wondering if there was a way that we could loan sammy (my pony!) to her could we still put her in foal?? i know that you cant ride right up to the foaling but you can for a bit right?? anyway im confused wondering what is the best thing for her.. all advice welcomed sorry this is so long!! thanks!!
