Best shampoo for pubic hairs?

So I have mostly been using Herbal essence for my pubic hairs but the problem is that it leaves a white residue. I have been contemplating to switch to dove men + care but I heard that it drys out the pubic hair leaving it stiff and unappealing. Then again I could use Axe shampoo but it leaves my pubics in rabbi curls. Does anybody have any experience in these matters?
