Christians, why haven't you forsaken everything for Jesus?

"And everyone that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life." - Matt. 19:29 (also see Luke 18:29-30). The only people I know that have taken these words literally are the celibate Catholic monks who live entirely separate from the rest of humanity to devote their entire lives in the service of their saviour. By the words of Jesus himself, they are the ONLY ones who are going to Jesus' heaven, and by definition, they are the only TRUE Christians. What's your excuse for your false piety?
